Foodie Gift Guide

Foodie is defined as someone who has a particular interest in food aka a gourmet. Most people have someone in their lives who is a foodie or at least claims to be. Which should make it easy to buy them a gift, something to do with food would make them happy, but what if you are the opposite of a foodie and have no idea what would be good. Well, I have made a Foodie Gift Guide just for you, with ideas that any food would enjoy and appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Some of these links below are affiliate links wich means that if you purchase from them I get a small commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions go to keeping up the site.

Monthly Gifts

The gift that keeps giving. Give a fun box of goodies that they will enjoy each month. Here is a couple that I think would be great to receive.

Raw Spice Bar sends 3 Gourmet Fresh Ground Spices each month. If the recipient is big on trying new flavors and experimenting in the kitchen this would be an awesome gift. Get started here.

Box Sets

A nice group of gifts that are coordinated and already done for you sounds like a great present to me. I found a couple websites that have wonderful and well-priced gift sets.

Teatulia has gourmet teas that you can choose from and make a group of things that your giftee will like, but they also have sets available. Like this Award Winning Teas Gift Set that even comes with a nice mug. You can find their other gift sets here.

Taste Trunk has a lot of different options to choose from, you can pick a pre-done theme, a subscription like the ones above or build your own trunk. You can select a card to go inside it and each item has a recipe card that comes with it. They have so many different items to choose from spices and seasonings to kitchen items. I think this would be a fun gift to give and receive.

A few that stuck out to me were the Mixologist Trunk , Healthy Chef Trunk , and the Beer and Bourbon Trunk . Using this link you can get $10 off if you are a new customer.

Specialty Items

For foodies it is always exciting to try out new ingredients, it is, even more, fun when they are good quality ingredients that they may not buy for themselves. That is why for people who love food and cooking ingredients are a good option for gifts.

Black Truffle Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a great way to still get the flavor of truffle oil without breaking the bank.

A set of Assorted Cheeses is great for someone who likes cheese and trying new flavors.

A set of spices for a particular cuisine they enjoy. Like a nice set of Italian Spices, Chinese spices, Indian spices, Spanish Spices, anything they enjoy or want to try would be great.

A cookbook on a specific technique or cuisine they like or want to try out. A couple of good examples are Jade and Phoenix Claws that I reviewed, it is a great book on Chinese traditional cooking.

Or something like a book all about Suse Vide like Sous Vide at Home: The Modern Technique for Perfectly Cooked Meals.

Another great idea with cookbooks is to get one by a favorite chef of theirs. Bonus points if you can get it signed.

Appliances and Bakeware

Kitchen toys are always a fun gift to receive when you are a foodie, it means you get to experiment and play in the kitchen. Here are some fun things to get the foodie on your list.

Insta Pots are all the rage right now. An electric pressure cooker that can cook so many different things and can do it pretty quick. If you buy one make sure it is good quality and is either a 6-in-1 or 7-in-1 model.

Sues Vide machines are also popular right now. It regulates the temperature of water to ensure an even cooking. You can check it out here.

Some specialty baking pans or candy molds. There are neat baking pans out there that are fun for special occasions, I don’t like to buy them to only use a few times but would love to still have them, so they make good gifts.

A few ideas, this list could go on and on but these are the ones I think would be used the most often.

  • popover pan
  • mini cupcake tins-They can be used for so many things.
  • mini brownie pans- So every brownie is a corner piece.
  • cake pop mold
  • donut pan
  • springform pan
