So there are so many cookie chip cookie recipes out there that it can be hard to pick. I typically stick with the one on the back of Nestle chocolate chips, but Hubby found this one and wanted me to try it. He likes a cookie that can be dunked in milk, so it needs to have a bit of a crunch but still be chewy. The reviews on Reddit said it was perfect for dunking, so I gave it a try.
They turned out pretty well, he loved them. They are best when warm, about twenty seconds in the microwave is perfect. The main difference to Toll House recipe is that there is more sugar, giving them a chewy consistency.
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 stick unsalted butter, cold in small chunks
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 bag of chocolate chips
Place about a tablespoon for each cookie on a lined cookie sheet. I use my silli-pat and there is no sticking at all, it cools pretty fast too. Bake at 300 for 18 minutes
