Cookbook Review- A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches

I received this book from Blogging for Books in return for my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

First Impressions: I picked this book because the title caught my eye and seemed like it could be funny. When I received my copy I was impressed by the simplistic cover and great pictures. Flipping through the pages I saw pictures of delicious and unique sandwiches.

Tyler Kord is the chef of No. 7 Sub shops. He and his partner have four locations in New York. He thinks of different combinations, puts them between bread and makes uniquely delicious subs.

The book is organized by types of sandwiches. First, each section explains the best way to make the main meat or vegetable, followed by different ways to use it on a sandwich. A few examples of types are roast beef, seafood, vegetables, and a whole section on broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus.  Followed up with sauces and other things to go on sandwiches. At the end is a great explanation on how to construct a great sandwich.

What I really love about this book is that it is more than just a cookbook. It is sprinkled with little stories and thoughts from Tyler. He is a talented writer and is pretty funny. I enjoyed reading the book and can’t wait to try out a few of his recipes and sauces.
