A couple years ago I came up with a Valentine’s Day puppy chow recipe. I shared it over at Married and Hungry but somehow it never made its way over here. So today I am fixing that and sharing with you. I was surprised how easy it was to make and how good it was. This stuff can get very addicting!
All you need is rice chex, chocolate chips, cake batter, powder sugar and some candies to add in. I used pink velvet thinking that it would be pink, but I had forgotten that it doesn’t change until water is added. So vanilla cake mix would work too. If you don’t care what color it is then you can use cake mix out there. I added in Valentine’s mix M&Ms and some sprinkle hearts but they were small and fell to the bottom. Make sure that your mix-ins are large enough to distribute well with the chex.
