This is a general recipe for my stir-fry sauce that I use. This particular time I used hoisin as part of my base and it created another flavor altogether. Most of the time Soy Sauce is my base and really all you have to have to start with. Rice wine vinegar added in is also very good.
I will give amounts but take them lightly and adjust everything to your liking as you go. This does have a sweeter note to it, if you want to add more crushed pepper that would raise the heat level up and balance out the sweetness, I liked it being sweeter.
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Sweet chili sauce
- 5 tbsp Hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 2 tbsp Ginger powder
- Sprinkle of Crushed red pepper
- To taste Salt and pepper
- 2 tsp oil
Mix all ingredients for sauce tasting as you go.
