Snickerdoodle Cookies
Tender cinnamony goodness is all there is to say about these snickerdoodles. A fabulous addition to any picnic or get together this summer.

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Combine cinnamon and sugar and set aside.
  2. Combine shortening and sugar. Add in eggs.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together. Add into wet ingredients a little at a time.
  4. Roll into small balls. About the size of walnuts.
  5. Roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. Slightly flatten, and place on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly browned but still soft. They will puff up and then flatten out with crinkled tops. Be sure not to over bake them.
